Sound Money

Abolish the Fed. Back the Dollar. Fix the Foundation.

Roy W. Gurner · December 31, 2025 · 1 min read

The Federal Reserve was the third pillar of the 1913 corruption. Unelected bankers controlling money supply, printing currency, inflating away your savings.

Since 1913 the dollar has lost about 97% of its purchasing power. That is the design working as intended, and the cost lands on savers.

What the Fed does:

  • Prints money without limit (quantitative easing)
  • Sets interest rates (picking winners and losers)
  • Enables unlimited government spending
  • Bails out banks (privatized gains, socialized losses)
  • Operates without democratic accountability

The Decentralist solution:

  1. Abolish the Federal Reserve

  2. Treasury issues currency directly - accountable to Congress, accountable to citizens

  3. Back the dollar with hard assets:

    • Bitcoin (fixed supply, 21 million forever)
    • Gold reserves
    • Commodities basket
    • No unbacked printing
  4. Use existing digital rails:

    • USDC-style stablecoin infrastructure
    • Blockchain transparency
    • Instant settlement
    • But backed by real assets, not Fed promises

The math:

Old System Decentralist System
Fed prints at will Fixed supply backing
Inflation steals savings Savings hold value
Bankers decide rates Market decides rates
Boom-bust cycles Stable growth
Dollar loses value Dollar holds value

Why digital, not just gold:

Gold failed. FDR confiscated it in 1933 (Executive Order 6102). It’s physical, seizable, controllable.

Bitcoin can’t be confiscated if held properly. It’s decentralized, transparent, and fixed. It is technology enabling accountability, the same principle as the public vote record in Paper XIII.

The transition:

  1. Announce Bitcoin strategic reserve
  2. Begin purchasing and holding
  3. Phase in asset backing for dollar
  4. Abolish Fed over 4-year period
  5. Treasury assumes monetary function

Savings hold their value. A dollar saved should buy roughly the same in thirty years. That was true for most of the country’s first century.

Sound money is the foundation. Without it, nothing else holds.
